May 13, 2016 (Cannes, France) Royals, Diplomats, Knights, and pioneers in film, fine art, performance, and fashion come to Cannes from May 16-19 in support of HRH Princess Angelique Monét of Aquitaine, AFI World Peace Initiative (Cannes). The innovative program was created to launch and support compelling films that impact the global marketplace while also helping artist, and will help aide in world peace, social justice, environmental,and multi-culturism. The organization hosts screenings in the marketplace through Monét’s company Greta Joanne Entertainment, and a Signature Gala hosted May 17th from 7:30 p.m. -12 am, at the Intercontinental Carlton Hotel in Cannes, France. The gala is in financial support of the "Peace and Tolerance" Institute a part of AFI World Peace Initiative's Institution and will host education workshops, produce global films that help with world change (peace, social justice, environmental, and culture), in addition to supporting on-line and physical media content that will assist in these relations.  Hicham Lahlou will also launch the awards for the "Cinema and Humanitarian" 2017 for our fundraiser next year.

It is beyond an honor to host our distinguished guests, and honor them along with compelling films during this years Festival de Cannes,” stated HRH Princess Angelique Monét Princess of Aquitaine. 

Receiving the highest honors the organization can provide on behalf of Monét includes the following:

Dr. Ephraim Isaac: Director of the Institute of Semitic Studies (Princeton, NJ) Chair of the Board of the Ethiopian Peace and Development Center. Founder and first Professor of Afro-American Studies at Harvard University. In recognition of his merits, the “Ephraim Isaac Prize for Excellence in African languages.” Decorated/Knighted this year by His Majesty the King of Sweden as the Order of the Polar Star, First Class for “Lifetime service to Peace & Justice”

Dr. Raghunath Manet of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Letters) Humanitarian, Dancer, Choreography, and Musician

Professor Karl Bardosh: Professor at New York University and has been an award winning director, producer, writer, editor of features, shorts, television series and documentaries. He is a pioneer in cell phone cinema. 

Leonard Retel Helmrich famous for perfecting the “Single Camera Shot,” filming style and his related technical camera innovations

Guests of Honor for the “Peace and Tolerance Gala” include Princess Anjhula and Mr. Satish Salvanatan, Prince Stephan of Monténégro and Macédoine whom will make a special presentation and speech, Tscherna Matusof (will attend special screening of Cheryl Halpern’s Two Zions on May 18th 5:30, Hicham Lahlou will make a special presentation for awards designs 2017

Artisan Festival International World Peace Initiative is founded by HRH Princess Angelique Monét and is comprised of mini-festivals around the globe representative of the Arts (Film, Fine Art, Fashion, Music, Theatre & Performance) brought together under one umbrella in an effort to promote peace and cultural diversity through the arts. Our goal is to bring rich culture to each community we work with and encourage as much community support as possible to facilitate an understanding that we are a cultural arts organization seeking to add to the communities in which we serve while simultaneously assisting with peace efforts on a global scale. Additionally, the organization has an institution arm which is designed to provide resources and exposure for artists, assistance to schools in Africa, those without resources in Africa and India, providing solar energy to villages in Africa, and youth artistic development globally.  This is done solely through the organization and also through partnerships with other not for profits and NGO’s.

A campaign for financial support will benefit the HRH Princess Angelique Monét’s “Peace and Tolerance Institute” that will host education work shops, produce global films that help with world change, and support on-line and physical media content.


Princess Angelique Monét is an American multi-media talent and former Ms. Black South Carolina USA with lineage from around the globe.  She attended St. Augustines College, graduating with a degree in Mass Communication. Monét attracted world wide recognition as the world’s only stage actress ventriloquist and is listed under modern day ventriloquism, and Notable ventriloquism on wikipedia. She has the following nobility titles: HRH Princess Angelique Monét (Princess of Aquitaine) HRH Angelique Monét, Duchess of Aquitaine, Honorable Lady, named Honorary Ambassador to Royal Academy of United Nations, and Distinguished Member of Royal Biographical Institute.


She was also awarded Global Lady Icon Award at the United Nations, and Afrique360's "Cinema and Humanitarian" award at UCLA with the African American studies program.
