Angelique Monét is an American multi-media talent and former Ms. Black South Carolina USA.[1] Monét attended St. Augustines College, graduating with a degree in mass communications. Monét is the owner and CEO of Greta Joanne Entertainment.[2] Angelique Monét is also the world's only stage actress and ventriloquist.[3] In 2001, Angelique Monét performed on Theater Row her one-woman Off-Broadway show of Multiple Me written by Edgar Chisholm where she portrayed several personalities and her ventriloquist figure had multiple personalities in addition to those Monét portrayed. She is listed under A History of Modern Day Ventriloquism as a modern day ventriloquist, cited for her one woman play. Angelique Monét  is also a singer and composer who has an album on iTunes called "Not Wasting Time."

Monét's directorial film debut came with the short film BitterSweet which screened at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner (SFC) in 2005.[citation needed] Her feature film Deceptive premiered at the Marche du Film during Festival de Cannes (2010).[4] She had a theatrical release through her own releasing company at Big Cinema in New York, New York as cited by Why Blue Matters Blog. She also started the Hamptons Black International Film Festival which hosted six films in December 2008 which received a mention from Sag Harbor.[5] The festival (HBIFF) returned in 2010, screening 17 films in Montauk, NY covered by The Montauk SunHampton Daze MagazineDan's Paper (page 59)Why Blue Matters BlogThe Thrillest, and the East Hampton Star. In 2011 the Hamptons Black International Film Festival held its last event before its rebranding in 2012. Angelique Monét is the grand-daughter of the Honorable Theo Walker Mitchell, a former Senator and first African American gubernatorial candidate to receive nomination from a major party (Democratic) 1992. Angelique Monét  lineage originates in England, France, Spain, and Native American.  As a result of her background in the arts and humanity, she was appointed and stylized as HRH Princess Angelique Monét of Aquitaine. This is a non-reigning title, and does not carry in political affiliations with the French government or Aquitaine, within her own right she is also Duchess. In 2012 Angelique Monét was appointed Honorary Ambassador and Cultural Attache of Royal Academy of United Nations.


Angelique Monét was Knighted in Order of Sylvester, made a Dame in Order of St. Jerusalem  Order of Malta (on the island of Malta), and masonic affiliated ladies auxiliary groups organization Order of the Amaranth, and Order of the Eastern Star in which she has held offices, Daughters of Mokanna, and sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha Incorporated

She has also received recognition from Afriq360 at the prestigious University UCLA with the Black Studies Program and the Global Icon Ladies Awards at the United Nations Delegates Dining Room. 


Monét began in journalism by receiving a position in at WYFF, an NBC television affiliate, through the Greenville Urban League Youth Job Placement Program. Within her first placement at WYFF she interned and became a Segment Producer and Reporter for the regionally syndicated children's show "Videomax." As Ms. Black South Carolina she secured a television hostess position, "Beyond The Year's... A celebration of Black History Month." Monét also produced "Gracie and Angel," which aired on Dove Communications (Gracie is her ventriloquist friend, a pig, listed with Angelique Monét as top ventriloquist USA,).


As a journalist Monét has interviewed under the umbrella of her 1st syndicated magazine formatted program "NYConnection" pioneers such as Public Enemy, Dougie Fresh, Kurtis Blow, DJ Red Alert, Flavor Flav, Chuck D, Ludacris, Raekwon, Charles Stone III, Tyson Beckford, Sheek Louch, Damon Dash, Wayne Wonder and Baby Cham. As an on air personality of her VOD/PPV channel Monét has interviewed: Matthew Broderick, David Morse, Warrington Hudlin, Albert Maysles, Eriq Ebouaney, James Cromwell, Penelope Ann Miller, Christie Brinkley, David Bailey, Russell Simmons, Danny Simmons, Ezra Miller, Shailene Woodley and Nate Parker, just to name a few. She has covered events such as the 2011 Congressional Black Caucus, New York Chinese Film Festival 2011, Play Boy Mansion Cannes, private events during Festival de Cannes, the Hamptons International Film Festival, Art Basel, international art fairs in Monaco and Art Southampton.


In 2011 she closed a deal to develop her own Video On Demand Platform through DISH Network Video On Demand. Monét established the name Nothing On Television TV, to showcase film content, celebrity interviews, live event streaming, magazine formatted programming, reality based programming and music based showcases. The VOD platform has expanded to Roku Boxes, YouTube, and all will be linear on Direct TV. Some select programming will be made available through syndication platforms through major providers. This September Monét will launch the direct web-site where consumers will have free and PPV programming that will be Nielsen rated and linked directly to DISH and other VOD platforms. The platform provides unique opportunities for hybrid distribution where content developers who have an audience can have a platform of 200 Million Potential unique viewers. Monét is one of the only female distributors, exhibitors, and owners of a television channel available before over 20 Million consumers.
